Description
This increases the efficiency of carbohydrate absorption and oxidation above the usual limit of 60 g/hour during prolonged exercise.
The power of the combination:
Maltodextrin:
- Is rapidly absorbed via the SLG-1 transporter and converted into glucose.
- Provides immediate energy due to a high glycemic index.
- Ensures rapid gastric emptying due to its high molecular weight and low osmolarity, which benefits digestion.
Fructose:
- Is absorbed via the GLUT5 transporter, which is different from the glucose uptake channels.
- Replenishes glycogen reserves in the liver after intense exercise.
Use
Dissolve 3 scoops (90 g) in 500 ml of water. Ideal for use during long endurance efforts.
