How should one use the Powerbreathe?

The PowerBreathe Special Edition Black breathing trainer high resistance can be used as a cool-down to promote rapid recovery or as a warm-up during competitions.

- Build-up training: 30 intensive breaths 2 times a day - clearly noticeable results after 4 to 6 weeks.
- Maintenance training: 30 intensive breaths 2 times a day - 3 times a week.
- Resistance setting: Is indicated in the supplied instructions; during the build-up training, adjust (increase) the resistance every 2 weeks to the increased strength.

Maintenance and cleaning of the Powerbreathe:

During training, saliva enters the mouthpiece. It is recommended to regularly (preferably after each use) soak the device in warm water for about 10 minutes and rinse it thoroughly. It is recommended to do this at least once a week using a POWERbreathe Cleaning Tablet or with some mild soap or dishwashing liquid.

>Contraindications:

If you are unsure about using the POWERbreathe, or if you have a respiratory condition, you can ask your doctor for advice.

- Respiratory muscle training, as performed with the POWERbreathe, is not recommended for patients with spontaneous pneumothorax (collapsed lung not due to trauma), as there is a possibility of recurrence of the pneumothorax. In case of a traumatic pneumothorax and/or broken rib(s), the POWERbreathe should not be used until complete recovery has occurred. - Respiratory muscle training, as performed with the POWERbreathe, is not recommended for asthma patients who regularly experience severe and unexpected exacerbations.
- Respiratory muscle training, as performed with the POWERbreathe, is not recommended for people who have recently had a perforation of the eardrum. />- Respiratory muscle training, as performed with the POWERbreathe, by persons under the age of 16 must be done under the supervision of an adult
