Wetsuit Test Days
Are you looking for a new wetsuit, but not sure which model is the best choice for you (yet)? Or do you have a wetsuit in mind, but would like to test it first to be sure about the size and your position in the water before purchasing? Our wetsuit test days are the most extensive in the Benelux!
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced swimmer, our knowledgeable advisors are on site to tell you everything about the brands and the different wetsuit models in our collection.
Register for the 2026 wetsuit test days
This year we’re back at many locations across the Netherlands and Belgium. All test days take place either at a swimming pool or at an open-water venue. Our test days are suitable for both beginner and experienced swimmers. A team of triathlon experts will be ready to help you choose the right wetsuit.
Participation in our wetsuit test days is completely non-binding (no obligation to buy). This year we charge a small fee of €9.95 per participant. Good to know: if you purchase your new wetsuit during the test days, you will receive the €9.95 back (deducted from your purchase). Can’t make it after all? No problem. If you cancel your visit before your reserved test date, you will also receive the €9.95 participation fee back. (Members of the clubs we sponsor will always receive a refund of their participation fee (after the wetsuit test day, via bank transfer)).
Registration is required and can be completed via the form below. Select your preferred date under “appointment type” and confirm your choice; then enter your personal details. Next, click “continue to payment” and choose your preferred payment method. You will then receive a confirmation email for your registration. If you want to cancel or change your registration, you can do so via the confirmation email or by contacting our customer service. If registration through the form doesn’t work, please email [email protected] with your name and the test day you would like to attend.
A few days before the event, you’ll receive a personal email with additional information about the wetsuit test day. During our wetsuit test days you also receive 15% off all wetsuits. The discount is calculated based on the recommended retail price.

What are the wetsuit test days?
During our wetsuit test days, you can try on and test various wetsuits (also in the water). Because a wetsuit fits and feels different for everyone. Each brand of wetsuit has its own unique characteristics, and during the test days, you can thoroughly explore and experience these. This way, you can take your time to find the ideal wetsuit.
What can you expect at a wetsuit test day?
On the wetsuit test day, our own store specialists and representatives from various wetsuit brands are present. Together with one of these experts, we explore your specific wishes and needs and which wetsuit best fits them. We consider aspects such as the correct size, the intended use of the wetsuit, the optimal buoyancy for you, and comparing different wetsuits to find the perfect match.
We bring a wide range of wetsuits, ranging from long-sleeve and breaststroke models (open water) to thermal and sleeveless wetsuits. This selection is suitable for beginner and recreational swimmers as well as professional triathletes. In addition, we bring a large assortment of accessories, such as thermal neoprene accessories, swim buoys, and goggles. These accessories can also be tested in the water.
Can I take my purchase home immediately?
Because we cannot predict the demand for wetsuits, we do not carry a full stock with us. When you have finished testing a wetsuit, you can immediately place an order for the wetsuit you want, and we will send it to you free of charge the same week. This way, you don’t have to visit one of our stores in the Netherlands or Belgium again.
What products can I expect at the test days?
At our test days, we have open water / triathlon front crawl wetsuits. We do NOT bring breaststroke wetsuits or swimrun suits to the test days.

If you have special wishes or questions about certain brands, models, or fitting trisuits, it is best to contact our customer service by email in advance.
Where do the wetsuit test days take place?
Every year we organize several wetsuit test days at various top locations in the Netherlands and Belgium. Locations include the Optisport sport boulevard in Dordrecht and the Blaarmeersen in Ghent – all unique locations. All test days take place at swimming pools or open water lakes.
When are the wetsuit test days?
The test days take place in spring, just before the start of the triathlon season. At the bottom of this page, you will find an overview of our locations and the associated schedule. Here you can view the exact times, addresses, and types of water.
Are the wetsuit test days free?
Yes, participation in our wetsuit test days is free and completely without obligation! Please note that any non-testing visitors must pay the regular entrance fee of the location.

A lovely sandy beach with playful dunes and a lounging and playing meadow with facilities for sports and games.
De Kwakel Swimming Pool, Utrecht (Netherlands)
De Kwakel Swimming Pool is a spacious pool in Overvecht. The pool has a recreational pool, a target group pool, and no less than 2 competition pools. The ideal place for a wetsuit test day!
Zwembad De Waterlelie, Aalsmeer (Netherlands)
De Waterlelie has three indoor pools: a competition pool, a deep recreational pool, and a shallow recreational pool. Take a dive from the starting block or use a special lift to enter the water.
Sloterparkbad, Amsterdam (Netherlands)
Sloterparkbad is a large swimming facility next to the Sloterplas, with indoor and outdoor pools. Inside, there is a 50-meter competition pool, a recreational pool, a slide, hot tubs, and a pool bar with snacks and drinks.

For all ages and levels, Sportstad has a suitable pool, which is also very suitable for testing wetsuits.

De Mosten, Meer (Belgium)
At the recreation area De Mosten, you will find yourself in an oasis of calm, the perfect setting for a great wetsuit test day.
Bastion, Kinrooi (Belgium)
The former mining area in Kinrooi has recently been thoroughly redeveloped for recreation and beautiful nature. This lake is an ideal location for testing our wetsuits.
Blaarmeersen, Ghent (Belgium)
The Sport and Recreation Park Blaarmeersen is a green gem on the Ghent Watersportbaan, close to the historic city center of Ghent. A beautiful outdoor location to test wetsuits.

The Wetsuit Test Days 2025 were once again a great success! With a record number of 1123 participants, this was the most visited edition ever. This year we were present at no fewer than 15 locations across the Netherlands and Belgium. From Amsterdam to Ghent, we saw enthusiastic swimmers and triathletes everywhere taking the opportunity to test and compare different wetsuits while receiving professional advice from our experts.

The Wetsuit Test Days 2024 were once again a great success! This year we were present at over 17 locations, of which 12 in the Netherlands and 5 in Belgium. With no less than 839 participants, it was the busiest edition ever. Especially in Nijmegen it was very busy, but at all test days we saw enthusiastic swimmers and triathletes who took the opportunity to try on wetsuits and dive into the water.

During the Wetsuit Test Days 2022, we were at 12 locations, spread over 8 in the Netherlands and 4 in Belgium. In total, we welcomed 423 swimmers and triathletes. The test day in Eindhoven was the busiest, but at all locations there was plenty of opportunity to try out wetsuits and receive expert advice.

Impression of the Wetsuit Test Days 2021
Despite the challenges of that year, we were still able to organize 10 test days during the Wetsuit Test Days 2021, with 6 locations in the Netherlands and 4 in Belgium. In total, 189 swimmers and triathletes came to test wetsuits.

2020 was a special year. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we were only able to organize 3 test days. Nevertheless, 103 participants came to test various wetsuits.
