Why choose Speedo?
If you spend a lot of time in the water, you want gear you can really rely on. Speedo combines many years of experience with smart materials and carefully designed fits, so you can fully focus on your stroke, breathing and pace. These are the main benefits for you as a swimmer:
More than 100 years of swimming expertise
For decades, Speedo has been developing swimwear and accessories, so you benefit from gear that has been tested both in everyday use and at the highest level.
Suitable for every swimmer
From first swimming lessons and lane swimming to triathlons and competitions, Speedo offers ranges for beginners, keen recreational swimmers and competitive athletes.
Hydrodynamic fit for more speed
Tight, streamlined cuts and clever details help you glide through the water more smoothly, with less drag and more control over your stroke.
Comfort that stays put
Goggles with a stable fit, swimwear that doesn’t ride up and caps that seal well: less distraction, more focus on your training.
Durable, chlorine-resistant materials
Many Speedo products are designed to stay in great shape for a long time in chlorinated water and during intensive use, so you can swim longer with the same gear.
Complete kit from a single brand
Swimwear, goggles, caps, training tools and accessories all work seamlessly together, so you can build your entire swim kit with one brand.
Speedo swimwear
Speedo swimwear for men
Speedo men’s swimwear is made for men who love to rack up the metres. The sleek jammers and aquashorts fit closely around hips and upper legs, so as little water as possible clings to the fabric. You feel that immediately in your stroke: less drag, a more stable feel and more focus on technique instead of on your trunks.
Thanks to the drawcord at the waist and the smart panel construction, everything stays perfectly in place – even during sprints, turns and intense sets. Many models are made from durable, chlorine-resistant materials (such as the Eco+ lines), so the fabric keeps its shape and colour for longer. That means you can keep training in the same trunks for longer, without them bagging out or becoming see-through.
Speedo swimwear for women
For women, Speedo combines sporty fits with support where you need it most. Designs with Laneback, Muscleback or Medalist backs give your shoulders maximum freedom of movement, so your technique isn’t restricted by your swimsuit. At the same time, the compressive, close fit around torso and hips provides a stable feel in the water.
Whether you opt for a classic training suit or a more covered Hydrasuit, the swimsuits are made to stay in place, even at turns, starts and during interval sets. Many designs feature contrasting prints and panels that not only look sporty but also create a flattering line along your body. That way you feel confident in your suit, whether you're doing a relaxed technique set or going all out.
Speedo goggles: from comfort to competition
A good pair of goggles makes an immediate difference: no leaks, no fogged-up lenses and clear vision with every stroke. Speedo goggles are designed for swimmers who want to train or race without distractions, from your first technique session to a key race or triathlon start.
Racing & high-performance goggles
For those for whom every second counts, Speedo offers an extensive range of racing goggles. Models such as the Fastskin Hyper Elite, Fastskin Pure Focus, SpeedSocket 2 and Vanquisher 3.0 have a low profile, fit snugly around the eyes and are made to create as little drag as possible in the water.
The hydrodynamic shape and mirrored lenses help to reduce light and reflections, so you can fully focus on your lane, turns and finish. Tight yet stable head straps and close-fitting seals keep the goggles in place even at starts and sprints. The result: peace of mind, sharp vision and the feeling of being truly in race mode.
Training & all-round goggles
Not every session is a race; sometimes you're simply logging the metres. For that, Speedo offers comfortable training and all-round goggles such as the Biofuse 2.0, Aquapulse Pro, Hydropulse, Hydrosity, Mariner Pro and Futura Classic.
These goggles are designed with extra-soft seals and flexible frames so they stay comfortable during longer workouts. The fit adapts to your face, reducing pressure around eyes and nose. Updated anti-fog coatings and clear or lightly tinted lenses give you consistent vision whether you're swimming indoors or outside in the sun. That way you can complete technique sets, endurance sets and drills without your goggles getting in the way.
Fit, lens options and women’s models
No two faces are the same, which is why Speedo uses different fits, sizes and seals. In our collection you’ll also find models specifically tailored to women, with a slightly narrower frame and seals that fit smaller faces better. That means less adjusting, less risk of leaks and more comfort while you swim.
Your choice of lenses also helps you train more specifically:
- Clear lenses for indoor pools and low-light conditions.
- Smoke or tinted lenses for bright lighting or sunny days outdoors.
- Mirror lenses for race situations and bright light, with an extra shield-like feel.
This way you're not just choosing “any goggles”, but a pair of Speedo goggles that suits your face, your training style and the environment you swim in most. That gives you confidence with every dive into the water.

Training equipment & accessories from Speedo
With just goggles and swimwear you can already go a long way, but the right training equipment helps you work more specifically on technique, strength and feel for the water. Speedo offers a complete range of training aids and accessories, so you can train with a clear purpose in every session and keep your gear practically organised.
Technique and strength training in the water
If you want to swim faster, more efficiently and with better technique, tools such as kickboards, pull buoys, fins and paddles are essential.
- Kickboards help you train your legs in isolation and work on your kick and fitness.
- Pull buoys stabilise your legs so you can fully focus on arm strength, rotation and body position.
- Fins, such as the Speedo DMC Elite, Elite Max and Original, increase the surface area of your legs, so you feel more resistance and can specifically build strength and speed. At the same time they help you develop better ankle mobility and a more fluid kick.
- Hand paddles and finger paddles increase the contact surface with the water. This not only trains strength in shoulders, back and arms, but also a more precise catch in the first phase of your stroke. The different models (Tech, Power Plus, I.M. Tech, finger paddles) give you options ranging from technique-focused to pure power.
This makes it easy to put together a training set that lets you work on specific parts of your stroke instead of just “logging lengths”.
Swim caps for training and racing
A good swim cap does more than just keep your hair together. Speedo offers various silicone caps that reduce drag, provide a stable fit and protect your hair against chlorine.
- Flat silicone caps are ideal for everyday use: durable, supple and easy to put on and take off.
- Molded caps with a 3D fit wrap even more closely around your head, reducing drag and staying comfortable during longer workouts.
- Long Hair models give extra room for long hair without the cap feeling tight or uncomfortable.
- Fastskin racing caps are designed for maximum hydrodynamics. They fit very tightly and smoothly, so you experience as little turbulence as possible around your head during starts and races.
Who is Speedo the right choice for?
Speedo is for everyone who takes swimming seriously, whether that means training for a race, regularly swimming laps or just starting out in the pool. The brand helps you feel more confident, faster and more comfortable in the water, whatever your level.
Competitive swimmers and triathletes
If you often pin on a race number or are chasing a new PB, the performance side of Speedo is made for you. Streamlined swimwear and low-profile goggles give you less drag and sharper vision, so you can fully focus on your race plan instead of your gear. Training tools also help you work specifically on technique, strength and pace.
Fitness and recreational swimmers
If you mainly swim to get fitter, build endurance or clear your head, you above all want kit that feels good and lasts. Comfortable, chlorine-resistant swimwear and soft, well-fitting goggles let you cover your metres without irritation. That way swimming stays something you look forward to instead of something you struggle through because of your gear.
Children and beginners
Just starting out with swimming or looking for gear for your child? Speedo makes swimwear and goggles that are easy to adjust, stay in place and don’t get in the way during lessons or play. That builds confidence in the water: you spend less time worrying about slipping straps or a leaking goggle and can focus on learning to float, breathe and master a good basic stroke.
The story behind Speedo: from Bondi Beach to global brand
Australian origins and the name ‘Speedo’
The story of Speedo doesn’t start in the pool but in the textile business. Scottish immigrant Alexander MacRae moved to Australia around 1910 and began making underwear there. The focus soon shifted to swimwear, just as swimming was becoming more popular as a sport on beaches like Bondi Beach.
When the brand introduced a new, sportier racerback swimsuit, the existing company name no longer matched its ambition. A competition was held within the team to find a new name and slogan. The winning entry — “Speed on in your Speedos” — laid the foundation for the name as we know it today: Speedo, synonymous with speed in the water.
Olympic success and pioneering fabrics
From the moment Speedo focused fully on swimwear, the brand has been constantly searching for materials and designs that make swimmers faster. It was one of the first to introduce synthetic fabrics in swimwear and has continued over the years to develop materials that are lighter, smoother and more resistant to chlorine.
You can see that innovation at the very highest level. Swimmers in Speedo suits and goggles have won medals and broken world records at multiple Olympic Games. For you as a user, that means you swim in gear that has proven its worth in practice, not just in theory.
Mission, ethical trade and vision for the future
Despite all the technology, Speedo’s mission remains very simple: to inspire as many people as possible to swim, in the pool, in open water, on holiday or during a triathlon. That’s why the brand doesn’t just make race gear but also durable, well-fitting swimwear and accessories for everyday use.
When developing new ranges, Speedo increasingly looks at both performance and impact: long lifespan, chlorine-resistant fabrics and, in many cases, materials with recycled fibres. In this way the brand builds on its history while looking ahead: helping you swim better with gear you can rely on now and in the long term.
